robert marshall (ace.man74)

I haven't felt like blogging this month as you can probably tell and although I had a few ideas to put a few posts in before the month is out, I just couldn't be bothered. This post is just to tell Robert Marshall to stop being a dick and get your own email address. Dude, have you wondered why your eBay account hasn't been confirmed yet? Haven't you wondered why you didn't even received the emails to confirm your account? That would be because you used an address you don't have access to, just like around 5 other morons before you. While I'm here, what's with random people adding me to MSN? I get people adding me, then messaging me asking who I am... who the fuck do you think I am? Are people really that stupid to say, "Yeah, my MSN address is , add me and we'll chat!"? I could no doubt do one of these posts every couple of weeks at least about people who have tried using my Hotmail for something, but I didn't for the last couple of...

Is this for real..?

An article on the Times website is saying that apparently, The Sims has a sociable future... The Sims prepare for a sociable future - Times Online I left a comment, but since there's a chance it won't be seen or approved (I didn't use my proper name and email in the form), here is the reply I left.. Is this from a recent source? Like, as in today? Have they (EA) completely forgotten about The Sims Online or as it was supposed to be relaunching as, EA Land? This makes no sense at all, yes there was news not so long ago about EA aquiring some kind of social team, but if they think that The Sims never had an online presence, they're very much mistaken. The Sims Online has been running since late 2002 and is still running now until August 1st when EA are closing it down, apparently due to funds not being available for the next fiscal year. Are gamers being fobbed off with usual corporate rubbish? What EA doesn't realise is that the future of social mmo's like The Si...

R.I.P. EA Land - August 1st 2008

Well that fucking sucks major testicles. The game I've wanted to play for so many years is due to come to an end because EA don't want to spend anymore resource time on it. A lot of people are really pissed off at this and especially those who have been with the game since the original beta days. Once again, EA find another reason to have people angry at them...

EA Free The Sims Online

As I posted on Mental Gamers ... I remember back when The Sims were advertised on TV and I didn't have a PC at the time, I wanted that game, but alas, it was not to be due to insufficient means. I got a PC in late 2001 and bought The Sims - Collector's Edition around mid 2002 and I was a happy bunny. After a while I thought, "Wow!, This would be great online." and at the end of 2002, The Sims Online was born ... but .. it wasn't free to play. This was a setback since I don't want to pay to play games online, so I had to give it a miss... ... UNTIL NOW! I would like to introduce you to EA-Land , a world that is free-to-play, and based on a re-engineered The Sims Online architecture. Yes, free . If you played The Sims Online before, we have played together and I would like you to rejoin us in the game: My avatar is MaxisLuc (yes, I work for Maxis/EA). At the beginning of last year I assembled a team to improve The Sims Online. After months of ongoing hard wor...
