Just an update on the beacon situation, showing how much land is opened up and what appears to be something hidden down a hole and would take forever to access...
In the first (and only at the moment) 'Tries' series, I thought I would have a go at the free-to-play MMO Villagers and Heroes. It was disappointing and I've never returned to it.
Just to give an update as to where I am in the game, I made a short video, but once again, due to the audio messing up with my crappy old headset, I couldn't rescue the commentary.
This one is a 3-parter. Discovery vids part 1 & 2, then the unveiling video. You can either watch them one after the other or just go straight to the unveiling vid and see what all the fuss was about.
As the video description says, it's all about placing a settlement, finding shiny stuff and even going on a Voyage of Discovery to see what I can unlock and what stickers I may find to open up more cards!
This is just going through the Settlements tutorial, it was something I wanted to include with something else, but the recording went funny and so I ended up with a quick 10 minute video.
I'm going to make this a double video post since the first one is Godus 2.0.4 Impressions and the other is Godus 2.0.4 Impressions Redux. I did the first vid before realising I should have just made a new world and recorded what is now the Redux vid.
I said I wouldn't do Minecraft videos and I'm not about to do a regular series. There are too many out there and it's not worth adding to them since I don't do anything special or differently to others.
If you've never played Minecraft before, then watch my intro video. Surprisingly enough, out of all the people who watch Minecraft videos on YouTube, I would guess at least half of them haven't played it.
Mobsters, I suppose you could expect those in the 1950's. It's getting a bit trickier now with where to go, who to see and what to do, so let's see how I do...
While the game is good and has enough humour to raise a laugh out of me, the hipster thing is nagging at the back of my mind, just hope it gets better...
A new game which I'm hoping to play through is 1954 Alcatraz, it's from the same people who did the Deponia series, but is actually quite different in many ways...
As I get further into the new beta, more things seem to get annoying. Trapped/lost followers and now the Voyage of Discovery missions which don't explain why you lose so many people and why you only just about pass.
I saw something on Steam and became a little curious. It's a free-to-play 'game' called The Plan which doesn't really need any explanation, just use the WASD keys to guide a fly upwards...
All good things must come to an end and so, the Goodbye Deponia playthrough comes to a conclusion. There was a bit more than the usual 30 minutes of game time left, so I play what's left of the game and even add a bonus bit at the end.
The penultimate episode of the Goodbye Deponia playthrough and I finally make it on to the Highboat. Still plenty of laughs to be had, a real enjoyment is to be had from this game!
I completely fail to record any viable commentary this time, so I just add a bit at the beginning and at the end. The actual video didn't really need much editing, so you'll probably enjoy this more...
The next enthralling part of the Goodbye Deponia playthrough see me fail to mix the audio properly due to my headset not picking up my voice properly. Not that it's a bad thing, I usually sound pretty boring anyway...
