The original Geek Babe

Image
Skip Jenkins has returned after not blogging for around 5 weeks and with his return, not only does he post a picture of a rather good-looking Mario, but someone who could be classed as the original Geek Babe due to how she looked back in the early 90's, before geek girls were really known about. Lisa Loeb was and still is quite the babe, she had distinct appearance due to her glasses that were a tad extravagant, but not overly garish. She came into the limelight with a debut single that was an instant hit, Stay (I Missed You) of which I bought, but got stolen with my CD collection when I was burglarized in '96. Considering she's almost 40, she hasn't changed and is still a babe and wow, she is so fit... Lisa Loeb Thong Video Uploaded by Mentalaceman That's from her TV show, #1 Single and it seems she still mingles with the stars of today like the also gorgeous Fergie. For further droolation of the bespectacled one, go to any and/or all of the following links: Lisa L...

Just .. doing stuff

Image
Well, not much has happened over the last few days except I've been playing some games ... or at least I would have been playing a couple more than I have been if they would work properly. Installed Mashed, played about 20 seconds before it just froze up with stuttering sound, so had to uninstall that, same with Need for Speed Underground 2 which I tried today just to get the same result. So, I've been playing more GTA and Guitar Hero II/III, watched the Bourne Trilogy which was an Xmas prezzie and have started watching the first disk of American Dad Volume 2. Right now, I'm going to fire up a GTA game while starting on my little collection of whiskey miniatures that, four of which I had a couple of years ago and four I had this year. I'll be having maybe 3 or 4 tonight, but I'm already feeling a bit tired, so may just settle for 3 of them. Not only do I have the drinks, but also a special glass that came with four of the miniatures from a couple of years ago, a pre...

So this is Christmas...

Everything is pretty much sorted and all I've been doing lately is playing GTA. I'm almost finished with GTA San Andreas, I'm actually in San Andreas doing the missions, so it won't be too long before I finish the game, but I'll carry on afterwards to finish off getting tags and stuff and any other side missions. Not to worry though, I still have GTA III to keep me occupied... That's still providing me with hours of Grand Theft Auto goodness, but... I just can't seem to get enough and have also been playing GTA Vice City. I've already completed SA and Vice City on the PlayStation 2 and got quite far in GTA III, but I've been playing the PC versions and basically nothing else for a while now. I had a blast on Guitar Hero III the other day, but I've been so involved with the GTA games and with my Xbox 360 suffering from 3 red lights too, I haven't felt like playing the other consoles so much. I couldn't get the returns label that was suppos...

What's in your Firefox?!

These are all the extensions I use with Firefox and it provides me with everything I need to browse and 'use' the internet. What's in your Firefox?

It's cold season

It's that time of year where no matter what you do, you inevitably catch a cold off someone just in time for Xmas and so feel like crap. Thanks to those that have clicked the MyMiniCity link, I've clicked on those left in the comments in return, my city now has enough population to move onto the next stage in the process, the building up of the industry part. Due to feeling like crap recently, I've been playing the GTA games again, mainly GTA III, GTA: Vice City and GTA San Andreas, once I've finished the PC versions, I may try out some mods for them to extend the gameplay a bit more, I don't really feel like doing much else because of this cold making my head a bit numb. I've never been too good with the common cold and it hits me pretty hard every time, so it's yet another 2 weeks of feeling like shit time. :(

Building MyMiniCity

To do this properly and not spam it around like other idiots do, I'm posting it on my blog as suggested by the site. A new 'craze' on the net is something about building up your own 'Mini City' and therefore, I've made one for Mental Gamers . There haven't been too many hits on it yet due to me not being the mindless spammer that annoys people by constantly posting the link every 5 minutes or so, but for any of you that visit here (and there are 100's of visits per day), please help out by clicking on this MyMiniCity link which will help the population grow and then we can move onto building up the industrial part. Anyway, thanks to anyone that clicks the link and if you have a city, leave the link in the comments. Just leave one link though, askimet will count it as spam if you post more than one link. :)

Insert generic title here

Well, I managed to blog a post per day in November, now I'll just go back to my 'blog whenever' situation, which is usually around 3-4 times a week with maybe up to 3 posts per day. The wife has got me a new monitor for Xmas which is one I've had early and also Guitar Hero III which, when delivered, the disk was loose in the case and was susceptible to being scratched, so to be on the safe side, she let me have that early too. The buil-in speakers of the monitor aren't bad for general sounds, but are way too tinny for proper sounds like music and games. Gaming-wise, I've played HL²: Episode One, Portal and I'm up to the part where the Striders are attacking to destroy the rocket in Episode Two. I couldn't help but capture this image when playing Episode One, somehow, one of the combine soldiers had merged with the floor. As I've been playing the PC version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, I've noticed some things that I don't remember being ...

3 Red Ring Syndrome...

Image
...I has it. The last few days have been a bit dodgy in terms of my Xbox 360 not doing stuff and it's only since downloading the latest update, so it seems I've joined the legion of sufferers that have also succumbed to the RRoD in the last few months. I've had the console for 20 months and never had a problem with it, it's in a well ventilated spot and kept as dust-free as possible, but since the 'Fall update' was downloaded, it hasn't been the same. It wasn't turning on via the wireless pad and I couldn't connect to it through Windows Media Player, which is what I really wanted to do to test out the new DivX compatibility. Ah well, I suppose I'll have to carry on playing Guitar Hero II and III on the PS2 and maybe dust the Wii off and play something on that...

The box of orange, it is mine

Image
I went and found The Orange Box for a bargain price of £19.99 ($40USD approx), so I got it. I reinstalled Steam just a couple of weeks ago or so and although I said I wasn't going to bother playing games on the PC, I've found that it can handle things quite well with the 2GB of RAM and X700 gfx card. With only a limited amount of HDD space, I've backed up a load of stuff onto DVD's and cleared around 20GB which is pretty much what's needed to install The Orange Box apparently. I'm looking into getting an external enclosure for my old 200GB HDD as it seems a waste to just let it sit in the old PC doing nothing and my new PC doesn't quite have enough space to install it as a slave drive. So, now to defrag and install The Orange Box...

New GTA IV trailer

Image
The internet is going to grind to snail's pace tomorrow at 8pm GMT (3pm EST) when the third trailer for GTA IV is let loose. All we know is that it's entitled "Move up, ladies" and I'm not going to talk crap by trying to speculate what it will and/or won't contain as nobody knows except the people that created it. Just keep an eye on the Rockstar site and all will be revealed...

Oooh, a rainbow

Image
It's been a while since I saw a rainbow so bright as the one today, the kids love to see them, so I managed to snap a pic before it faded away. I always think of the old funny version of the theme of the old kids program, Rainbow; Up above the streets and houses, Rainbow climbing hiiiiigh, Bungle stuck his cock out the window and pissed in Geoffrey's eye...

GTA SA PC WTF LOL

Image
I completed Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the PS2 ages ago, not 100% with all tags tagged and whatever, but the main game completed. That's why just the other day, I thought I'd take a look at the PC version to see if it was any different and strangely enough, even though I've only played the first half a dozen missions, it's not too different. One thing I was a bit disappointed with was that it doesn't quite support the Xbox 360 pad. It's fine for moving around and doing stuff, but the right analogue stick doesn't work and would be ideal for looking around if it did work in the same way as on the PS2. I've kinda got used to using the keyboard and mouse now, I'm pretty handy with the keyboard when driving and can pull of some good driving skills which I couldn't do with a pad, so I guess I'll just stick to that!

A whole new record

1016 views per day on average in November, mostly to do with the R4DS, but also Vanessa Hudgens and those *ahem* images seemed to have warranted a lot of attention. I was surprised to get over 2500 visits in one day, then it turned out I was featured in a Reuters article, which was most likely the reason for getting so many hits. The total number of views reached over 152,000 by the end of the month and I've only hosted my blog on WordPress for 7 months, that works out at around 21700 views per month, at least 6 times more than when self-hosting my blog. I've changed themes about 6 times and after all that, I've come back to the original basic one I used for about the first month, it's clean and simple, a bit like me :P which is why I like it. (I'm not really that simple ¬_¬ ) I'm still trying to do the blog per day thing to keep the hits up and get people interested and informed about various trends that go on on the intarweb or just me rambling on about cra...
