If any people that I've linked to and pinged back in posts are wondering why they might be getting pings from blogspot, I'm copying my WordPress blog on here. WordPress is still my main blog as I can't stand the way blogger works, especially with images, but since I'm copying posts over to here, you may get a pingback.

While I'm waiting for a trailer to upload to YouTube, I'm just testing this Flock browser which seems pretty good, but also seems to use a lot more resources than Firefox and to be honest, you could probably find an extension for Firefox that does the same thing as Flock. I'll take a look in a mo to see if I can find extensions to give the same functionality, if so, it kinda makes Flock = Firefox + bloatware. Well, it seems I've found the extensions needed to give me the 'social' functions that Flock has included, but where Flock is around 10MB, Firefox and the extensions probably add up to around 6.5MB (all before installation). Well, there's something you don't hear of every day. Apparently, a pornstar called Mia Rose plays World of Warcraft or at least she did until a 'fan' spotted her on the Mai' Ganis server and was promptly banned when a GM supposedly saw the chat and apparently the website that the fan mentioned in the chat. She's been unable to contact Blizzard to get a proper response as to why she has been banned, but to be honest, if the reason is because she's a pornstar, regardless of what films she's been in, then it's a retarded reason for banning her. Does the admin that banned her expect players of WoW to be just spotty nerds that have no life? People still seem to be stuck when trying to convert video to play on the DS, as I said in the video I made on 'How to put video on the R4DS', I can't help with every error since I only intended to provide information on how to convert videos and put them onto the DS. To answer the main question of why an error pops up after converting, that could be because you don't have the necessary codec. I provided AviSynth in the BatchDPG file due to it being needed as part of the BatchDPG installation (it asks about AviSynth), but for other codecs, I recommend the K-Lite Codec Pack which has pretty much everything you need and since you'll be converting video files, you'll need the 'Full' pack for the encoders. With the codec pack installed, you should be able to convert almost every major format into .dpg, the image above is of my DS playing the latest SEGA Rally trailer of which I converted from .wmv. It converted with no problems at all, same with an .avi fi...

Just a heads up to people that don't know yet or need a reminder, the BioShock demo is on the Xbox Live Marketplace. It's a rather hefty 1.35 GB download and it seems to be going pretty slow, so you're probably better off playing something else or just turning the console off and leaving it to download (if you've turned on the background download feature), which is what I've done. Due to not looking for 'trim_tool 2.0', it seems that it became available on r4ds.com the day after Kernel v1.11 was released. It's only a small file of around 24KB and is easy to use, it's just a matter of running the program, locating the file to be trimmed and setting the output filename, that's it. I've uploaded a zipped version to my box.net R4DS folder for anyone that needs it. As pointed out by other bloggers, it seems there is a bit if a technical problem going on at Technorati. It's showing everyone's site/blog as Rank: 1 regardless of what their actual rank is. Some are taking it in their stride and having a giggle about it, others have gone on a bit of an ego trip by 'bragging' about it, yet the thing is, if everyone is ranked No.1, then no-one is better than anyone else. It's obviously a bug that will be sorted in due time, one thing I was a bit surprised about was the lack of 'Authority' or people linking here, but I guess if they aren't registered at Technorati, then the many others that link to here won't show up in the 'Authority' list. Last night, I played a Futurama DVD and some FlatOut UC on my Xbox 360 and the console was turned off before midnight. As I came to check my blog just a few minutes ago, I noticed that I had apparently been offline only an hour and that I was 'last seen' on Xbox.com. Two things wrong with that: I wasn't even online with the Xbox 360 at that time, in fact, it hasn't been on since turning it off last night. I haven't been on Xbox.com... oh wait... I got another achievement last night and went to see what it was about. Once again, I was looking through the Tag Surfer here on WordPress and noticed a post by Slant Eye For The Round Eye that mentioned Resident Evil 5 and the apparent racism it promotes through the links provided in the post.
