Wow! What a difference! From the plump sex-crazed minger from Big Brother back in 2005, to slender babe in March 2007 and she even ran in the London Marathon. Anyone that watched the 2005 Big Brother (BB6) will remember the 'bottle incident' and that she seemed to constantly get her tits out for no reason, but although she was 'fun and bubbly', it didn't really impress anyone. I must admit though, she has a very nice pair of breasts (to put it politely ;) ) and with her new look, she could really get somewhere. Unlike gobby Goody who's career has gone down the drain and has even started asking for jobs. What is with her getting bigger boobs? How is that going to help her career? You would think that they would realise when certain advertising is considered 'taboo' and not particularly very tasteful and just because a game is aimed towards a mature audience doesn't mean that the advert should be X-Rated. If the slaughtered goat doesn't completely offend, then lets just paint a bra on the 'sacrificial virgin'(?) eh! I've seen people ask and have even been asked myself how to load a ROM on the R4DS. As my previous R4DS video showed, it's just a case of dragging and dropping files onto the SD card, putting it in the R4 cart and loading it up in the DS. I've made another vid to show how easy it is to load up a ROM, if there are any other questions about it (which there shouldn't be really, both videos pretty much cover everything), then feel free to ask.

I've seen this car so many times when it's been parked up over the road, this time, I took a picture to show this 'Smart Car'. I can't help but laugh at how small it is and I can seriously say that I would not like to be in that car in the event of an accident, the manufacturers are sure to say it's safe and whatever, they would say that, they're trying to sell the thing, but I wouldn't even step foot inside one. :lol:

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! The series had serious potential and due to a lack of viewers, Fox have taken it off the schedule. They're not sure whether to show the remaining 2 episodes or just stream them on the net, but I can't understand why a good show like this wouldn't attract more viewers. What is wrong with people? Afraid of something exciting that gets the adrenaline pumping or just don't feel the need for speed?! WOW! **Possible Spoilers!** One exciting show coming to the end of it's season and a new one just beginning! Heroes had been away for a while, but the story was still fresh in the mind and it didn't take long to get back into it, it's starting to get a bit exciting now. {Major edit, July 15th} I'm a bit fed up with the lack of humour some people have. The information in the video I first made seemed to come second to the amount of criticism over the 'Troy McClure' voice I did (search for The Simpsons if you don't know who Troy McClure is). So, I've remade the video with step by step basic information and if you don't like the music, tough shit, it's not being done again.

So, Heroes returns tomorrow after being away for about 2 months, don't the US networks realise that leaving long breaks between episodes affects viewing figures? People that were giving programs a chance to see if they could like them are left stranded and are less likely to return to watching something after long breaks and that's why I think so many potentially good programs get cancelled. Family Guy and American Dad still have another week before we get a new episode of that, but with animated series', there doesn't need to be a new episode every week as they're usually spread out, in the UK anyway. Medium is also back after a couple of weeks away this Wednesday and Bones is set to show on May 2nd due to the VTU shootings and the episode that was to be shown features a body being found on a campus, whoops! That's not so bad for us in the UK as we're around 4 episodes behind anyway. Standoff was thought to be cancelled due to its brief 10 or 11 episode app...

It's been a while since I did a Vlog, so I thought I'd do one mainly to show I've got streaming working on my Xbox 360 and I mention stuff about what's been previously featured on my blog. This is certainly a day to mark on your calendar. As I was just looking on DCEmu , I saw a piece of news that Jack Thompson has finally LOST. Take Two has reached an agreement with Jack Thompson which will restrict the crusading lawyer from suing the publisher's games. Take Two brought a pre-emptive lawsuit against Thompson last month to stop the lawyer from declaring Grand Theft Auto IV and Manhunt 2 a public nuisance. According to a report on GamePolitics, Thompson has agreed he will not sue or threaten to restrict sales or distribution of future Take Two titles. The outspoken lawyer will also restrict communication with Take Two via the publisher's legal team. In return, Take Two has dropped two lawsuits against Thompson, including one over contempt of court during a case built around controversial title Bully. Oh glory days! Just a heads up to people that have been waiting for the Command & Conquer 3 demo, it's up on the Xbox Live Marketplace at 1GB. I'm not really a fan of the C&C series or RTS games in general, so I won't be downloading it, but for anyone that's interested, gogogo!

Well, for some reason, I've been sent F.E.A.R. for the PS3, but I don't have a PS3 and won't be getting one until it drops to a more reasonable price. The PR guys can't help it though, they don't know whether you have whatever console unless you tell them, but there's always the option to pass it onto someone that could review the game, but I don't know anyone that has a PS3... Also shoved through my letterbox this morning was a disc with assets for The Darkness , I wasn't too sure what it was at first when I opened it, that was until I looked at the booklet to find out that the disc contains screenshots, packshots and trailers. We're still waiting for Mental Gamers to be temporarily re-uploaded so that some news can start up again and we can get back into the swing of things. Todays Garfield cartoon made me chuckle a bit because it's so true. There's always someone that tries to give you their opinion without researching any facts or even knowing what they're talking about, they're the people that try to make their way into a discussion by knowing nothing except a question that makes them seem as though they know something, but don't. I think it was a book called How To Win Friends and Influence People that brought about this 'false knowledge' where you can make yourself look remotely intelligent by reeling off buzzwords, kind of like people you see on TV that have no idea what they're talking about and try to blind you with carefully placed big words to hide the fact they're not as clever as they want you to think.

For all you lucky Wii gamers, Lylat Wars aka Star Fox 64 is finally available on the Virtual Console. Lylat Wars, N64, 1000 points Donkey Kong Jr Math, NES, 500 points As for Donkey Kong Jr Math, not sure why that's on there. Come on Nintendo, Donkey Kong Jr Math? What the heck is that all about? Give us proper games instead of crud like that, there are dozens of other games that are way more interesting than Donkey Kong Jr Math, that's just pathetic. :(

Wow! Just seen all 3 episodes of Drive and it's not too bad, one of the characters we haven't had too much info about is Rochelle Aytes' character, Leigh Barnthouse. She is a babe! She also played Keisha in the one-off Jonny Zero, bit of a shame that series didn't make it, it was pretty good, obviously not that good though. First episode was fairly annoying with already so many answers needed, but the questions got answered quite quickly which is good as the concept of the program is about being fast and always on the go, if it keeps the adrenaline going and keeps up the pace, it could turn out a hit. This is a series I'll be keeping up with for as long as it runs, regardless of how shit it may get later on, now that I've watched the first 3 episodes I'll still be compelled to watch it. You sit there, twiddling thumbs, chewing fingernails or whatever passes time away when you're waiting for something. I called MX2 earlier today to enquire as to where the MicroSD card I ordered last week was, it turns out they're also waiting... for more stock. The guy on the phone said that the 2GB card I ordered was popular, so when they have them in, they're gone in no time which is understandable when they're £1 cheaper than even Play.com at £16.99, I guess the only difference is, is Play have more stock. I'm not that bothered though, if it means saving even £1, I'm willing to wait. It's not that I'm 'cheap' or whatever, I just prefer to pay what appears to be the best price and if I can find places that are cheaper than elsewhere, I'll buy from there. Saying that though, I looked on Amazon earlier today and did a little test, I found that 4 1GB MicroSD cards would cost around £33, that's not too bad, but considering the cards cos...

As also noticed by fellow WordPress blogger Larko , someone appears to be 'stealing' what seems to be every post on WordPress. I wondered why my 'R4DS' post had been sent a trackback and visited the link to what I found to be an exact copy of the post, I suppose it was a pointless thing to do, but I left a response asking to remove it or at least post a summary and as the comment was held for moderation, I'm guessing 'he' doesn't even bother reading all the posts and just harvests them for some unknown inane reason. It's nice to see when someone has linked back to you or just left a trackback, but to take the whole post is just not on, so if this 'admin on the Nisan' can be blocked from WordPress, then our blogs will remain our own and not some content stealing idiot that seems to be on some kind of pointless exercise.

It's taken about 15 days, but the R4 is finally here! To extend the enjoyment from my trusty old original Nintendo DS, I decided to get a cart that will allow me to run homebrew games and applications, it does also run *ahem* ROMs, but I prefer to buy my games as I like to have the proper case and manual. All I need now is the MicroSD card that I ordered last week and I'll be able to test it out with the easy to transfer adapter and for content, I'll be looking on DCEmuUK to see what I can try out with it. The envelope had been damaged by Royal Mail somehow and it looked like they had tried to open it, so I wasn't too pleased about that, I'm just pleased that it's here and when the MicroSD card gets here, I'll be able to try out all sorts of geeky stuff like see if there's an internet browser (free, not the official Opera one) to go on the net with and even go on IRC as I know there's an IRC client for it. :D

As per my usual routine, I go into the living room after browsing the net and playing some Virtual Villagers, watch TV while having some food and then doze off on the sofa, only to wake up around 60-90 minutes later and go to bed. Then again as usual, I get back out of bed around 30 minutes later due to not being able to get back to sleep and so come back downstairs to do stuff. For anyone that's heard of the guitarist, Simon Lees, I'm sure I had my photo taken with him when he did a gig in my old local pub some years ago and for some reason, I was thinking about him and how great he is on the guitar, but I'll need to do a bit of digging out to find the pic, so I'll leave that til a later post. I've gone through pretty much every theme available here and this is the one I'm sticking with. When using your own hosting, you can upload whichever WP theme you want and tweak it to your own needs, but having to use only certain themes and not being able to tweak the CSS (unless you buy credits), then finding one that's suitable for what you want to stick on your blog is a bit of a timely process. There are some decent themes I would use if I could change the CSS, mainly to widen the text area to make it more of a snug fit I'd even do this theme (Cutline) so that there wasn't such a big gap between this main part and the sidebar, but it'll have to do. So, it looks like I'll be staying at Hotel Del WórdPrés instead of bothering about other hosting. I've noticed that since I've moved over to WordPress.com , I appear to have had more visits than I expected since I've only been here a few days and I've also noticed via a feed reader stat thingy on here, that I seem to have some people that have 'subscribed' to my feed. This may sound strange to some people, but with the MG site being down, I feel like I've lost a limb. I guess I could have started it up here until the site was back up, but I don't think it would be worth it and not only that, it gives me a bit of a break from reporting news about games and gives me more time to actually play them... which I would if my TV was working properly and although I have the one in the living room with it's Dolby Pro Logic Surround Sound gubbins, too much noise goes on and I already have an over sensitive right ear. With the Mental Gamers web space suffering from another bout of tardness, I decided to put my blog on WordPress since it's a recommended host anyway. The only thing with hosting it on here is that you don't have complete and total control over the blog, but it'll do for now or until I actually decide to get my own webspace. I don't need much space, just as long as it's got a MySQL DB and doesn't have a problem with php and whatever, then it'll do. I'm thinking of having the Bronze package from www.eukhost.com at £29.99pa as it seems to be what I would need for my little site and blog, it's also something we're thinking about for Mental Gamers as the Gold package is quite a bargain for what you get. Just another day to me, but to the kids (including the missus), it's a day for presents. I'm not bothered about getting eggs or .. well.. anything, but I've had an egg given to me anyway and a pair of The Simpsons boxer shorts. I'm not a strictly religious person, but I do feel that people really do forget what Easter is really supposed to be about, and it doesn't involve a chocolate egg giving bunny. I need to see about getting a new TV though, but I don't fancy getting a 28" which seems to be the norm these days, it's a bit bigger than I need, but I suppose I'll just have to save up that bit extra to get an HD Ready type TV of which a 23" would suffice. I guess that the Xbox 360 would benefit more from having an HD Ready TV and if I can find a decently priced one with Freeview, even better. You know, I know it was a bit of a rant about April Fool's and how people should get a humour injection if they don't find things funny, but I have to openly admit that my original title was quite harsh and that I'm glad MattG didn't rip the shit out of me as he would have every right to. The day where jokes are made and people have a laugh at the different made up things that are posted on the internet… Except when you’re Joystiq who, rather than join in with the fun, would waste time debunking the jokes people around the net are making by ‘announcing’ them and commenting on the validity of the jokes. What is so wrong about people having a laugh and joke about made up stuff? Why bother to analyse the jokes and just enjoy them like normal people do?! Some people don’t even realise it’s a joke when deviantART users fail to see what it so plainly obvious that the news is fake, even when other users are blatantly saying it’s an April Fool’s joke and the fact that letters in bold spell out ‘April Fool’.
